Wyndham Garden Wichita Downtown

Great experience here. Room was clean and smelled good, shower water was perfect, a great location close to downtown Wichita, gas station right across the street. It was well worth the price they charge for rooms, very cheap for a clean hotel, definitely would stay again!

Hotel is dated but you can tell they've been trying to make upgrades. Check in process online sped things up. Didn't need anything from the front desk but the guy at check in was just okay. Not rude but not friendly either. We slept in so didn't check out breakfast. But was definitely a lot nicer than I expected for the price and other reviews.

I stayed in a King room for two nights. The room is equipped with standard hotel amenities: a coffee maker, a TV, a microwave, and a minifridge. The bed was comfortable, and I had good sleep on both nights. The wash basin has a wide mirror, which I liked. The bath has hot water, and this is another case where I wish I had known there was a bathtub so I could bring some bath bombs and enjoy a hot bath. The hotel doesn't provide a free shuttle to the airport, contrary to what the website says. However, it does offer free breakfast and free parking. The breakfast is decent, and there is also coffee 24/7. There are a couple of downsides if you're considering staying here: first, this is one of the cheapest hotels in the area, and the interior definitely shows it. There are a few unhoused individuals wandering outside the hotel, but I wouldn't say this is the hotel's problem – seems like downtown Wichita is pretty dead most of the time. The room's sound insulation is disappointing; this is partly because there is only a narrow aisle between two neighboring rooms, and anytime someone talks outside the door or opens and closes it, everything can be heard. This is certainly a case of "you get what you pay for." For an economical stay, this hotel offers good value for money. If you are looking for more, you should consider staying somewhere else.

The facility and room need some maintenance/updates. One of the bedside lamps didn't work very well, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The room served its purpose of allowing me to get some rest, and the price was decent.

Clean room, free breakfast was good with eggs and sausage + other stuff, front desk people helpful. Not the most elegant clientele outside the hotel but they never bothered me when i was walking around, and its a quick 20 minute walk to the old town. Would stay here again!
